Walk a stretch of the Wales Coast Path
A friend has invited you to do this with them.
Wales is one of a few countries in the world with a continuous footpath along its coastline, running 870 miles from the outskirts of Chester to Chepstow. It is divided into eight sections, so a single day can take in cliffs, estuaries or a promenade, with short, easy stretches alongside the longer hikes.

- Open that region's Walks to Explore the Area page on the official site and pick a route that suits the time you have.
- Check public transport back to your start using the site's Plan Your Visit section, then pack waterproofs and set off.

Plan this
Pick a day, or a month, and we will set out how to get ready, step by step, with a date and a reason for each. The hard part of a day out is the timing: the right season, tickets and getting there. The plan watches the calendar for you.
