Island-hop through the Hebrides by ferry
A friend has invited you to do this with them.
Caledonian MacBrayne, known as CalMac, sails to about 30 destinations along Scotland's west coast, from Arran in the south to Harris and Lewis in the north. Several crossings can be strung together into one trip, so each day ends on a different island.

How to start

- Book the crossings together as a single multi-journey booking on the CalMac site, adding a vehicle if you are taking one.
- Check CalMac's service status before each sailing, as crossings change with the weather.

Plan this
Pick a day, or a month, and we will set out how to get ready, step by step, with a date and a reason for each. The hard part of a day out is the timing: the right season, tickets and getting there. The plan watches the calendar for you.
