Ride from London to Brighton

The British Heart Foundation's ride covers 54 miles from Clapham Common in south London to the seafront at Brighton, mostly on roads closed to traffic. Almost any sort of bike is welcome, from road bikes to tandems, folding bikes and recumbents.

How to start

  1. Read the British Heart Foundation's London to Brighton Bike Ride page and check which entry routes are open, such as the ballot or a charity place.
  2. Register online and decide whether you are riding for the foundation or for one of its charity partners.
  3. Build up to rides of 40 miles or more, and practise mending a puncture, which riders are expected to do themselves.
