March the Bataan Memorial Death March

This memorial march at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico offers a full marathon-length course and a shorter honorary course, and it remembers the surrender at Bataan in April 1942 and the march that followed. The official site says Army ROTC at New Mexico State University began it in 1989 and that many civilians now take part.
