Deliver Meals on Wheels
A friend has invited you to do this with them.
A Meals on Wheels volunteer collects meals from a central location and delivers them along a set route to people at home, with a greeting and a brief chat at each door. Shifts are built to fit inside a lunch break, and local providers set weekly, monthly or occasional schedules.

How to start
- Fill in the volunteer form on the Meals on Wheels America site with your ZIP code to be matched with a local provider.
- Ring the provider it sends you and ask about routes, schedules and any background check.
- Ride along on one delivery route before you commit to a regular slot.
Where to go
We opened this link on 8 October 2026 and found it to be what we say. Dates, places and prices are on the official page, where they stay up to date.
Plan this
Pick a day, or a month, and we will set out how to get ready, step by step, with a date and a reason for each. A habit needs a fixed slot in the week more than a plan, so the planner gives it one and checks in gently.
