Answer a call as a Be My Eyes volunteer
A friend has invited you to do this with them.
A blind or partially sighted person points their phone camera at something and you tell them what you see, live, from wherever you are. The app also has an AI that describes photos, and the volunteer calls cover what it cannot.

Someone who has done it
Chieko Asakawa built the AI suitcase in our story. She has no connection with Be My Eyes.
How to start
- Download the free Be My Eyes app and choose the sighted volunteer option.
- Allow the camera, microphone and notifications, and pick your language.
- Stay logged in: calls come only during your daytime hours (8am to 9pm), from people who speak your language. Volunteers must be 17 or over.
Where to go

Plan this
Pick a day, or a month, and we will set out how to get ready, step by step, with a date and a reason for each. A habit needs a fixed slot in the week more than a plan, so the planner gives it one and checks in gently.
