Walk a stretch of the Oregon Coast Trail

The trail follows Oregon's 362-mile coastline from the Columbia River to California, mostly on the beach and over headlands, through 28 coastal towns. Nearly every coastal state park keeps first-come tent sites for hikers and cyclists, so it can be done a section at a time.

How to start

  1. Download the map for one of the trail's ten sections from Oregon State Parks.
  2. Check the tide times, as some stretches can only be passed at low tide, and note any gap sections that use the road.
  3. Walk one day of it first, then plan a multi-day section using the hiker and biker camps.
